SITPRO NEWS Trade Facilitation Now!

SITPRO’s consultation on the costs incurred by businesses to comply with international trade regulations has concluded. There has been a strong response from traders throughout the country, who have been keen to highlight areas where their regulatory burdens could be eased.

Businesses will be given their first preview of SITPRO’s findings at a meeting and networking lunch being held at Clifford Chance in London on Friday 12 June. This meeting comes at the end of the first World Trade Week UK, a programme of events highlighting the importance of global trade in creating jobs and growth.

SITPRO’s meeting will give traders an opportunity to comment on the issues that the government will be hoping to address in its action plan on how it will reduce costs to business, which will be launched alongside the 2009 Pre-Budget Report.

If you would like to attend the meeting, you will need to register in advance by emailing events@sitpro.org.uk. Full details of the event can be found at http://www.sitpro.org.uk/regreview/wtwevent.html.
