A vacancy has arisen for an Assistant Director in the Trade Procedures team of SITPRO. The purpose of this role is to help simplify the procedures involved in international trade. The position is in a small, friendly team but the jobholder must be a self-starter as much of the work will be autonomous. The responsibilities are likely to include monitoring developments in contemporary trade issues; providing the secretariat for SITPRO policy groups, representing SITPRO and promoting its work in the UK and internationally, and undertaking procedural research on trade policy. Some knowledge of international trade would be useful.
SITPRO has a flexible approach to recruitment and we would like to hear from all applicants including those interested in secondment opportunities. CVs should be sent to Michelle Walden, by email: michelle.walden@sitpro.org.uk, or by post: SITPRO, 8th Floor, Oxford House, 76 Oxford Street, London W1D 1BS, no later than Friday 14th November 2003. Inquiries can be made by telephone on: 020 7467 7291.
