SITPRO NEWS Trade Facilitation Now!

SITPRO continues to work alongside other trade representatives on the Customs Blueprint working groups. Recommendation 9 of the Blueprint suggests the creation of "a single system of security to cover a trader's interface with all customs business regimes and procedures". A recent study showed that there are over 36 different reasons for which a business may be required to provide Customs with some sort of security for revenue, normally in the form of a guarantee provided by a third party bank.

SITPRO is carrying out some research on this recommendation and is keen to hear from any business that currently holds security guarantees. We want to find out your opinion on the advantages or disadvantages and if you can spare a few minutes, we have a simple questionnaire for you. If you are able to help then please contact andy.walker@sitpro.org.uk Mail Icon and he will email you the questionnaire. It should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
