The Rt Hon Ian McCartney MP, the Minister of State for Trade, Investment and Foreign Affairs, was the guest of honour at SITPRO’s Annual Reception in the Foreign and Commonwealth Office’s Locarno Rooms.
“Government ministers come and go... but SITPRO goes on,” Mr McCartney said, praising SITPRO’s past and present work both at home and abroad. “Britain needs a trade facilitation organisation,” he continued, “and this is the foremost one in the global economy.”
The Minister then spent time talking to the many stakeholders that assist SITPRO in its work about their current projects and their hopes for future trade facilitation initiatives, rounding off a highly successful evening.
