SITPRO’s Simpler Trading seminar tour with the Chambers of Commerce kicked off at the Centre for Life in Newcastle in March, where traders heard about how trade facilitation could save them time and money.
This first successful event was followed in June by a second seminar hosted by Coventry & Warwickhire Chambers of Commerce. At both seminars delegates heard about a wide range of issues, including SITPRO’s aligned documents, paperless trading, Incoterms, Letters of Credit and Customs modernisation. A number of SITPRO’s licensees were also on hand to demonstrate aligned documents and the latest software solutions for traders.
SITPRO’s CEO and Board Directors have also been touring the country, meeting with business leaders to discuss SITPRO’s wide range of policy work. Business engagement is a vital component of SITPRO’s continuing advocacy of a trading environment that works for both government and businesses and these discussions have provided a fruitful opportunity to examine up-and-coming issues.
If you would be interested in meeting SITPRO at one of our future events, such as July’s seminar in Liverpool, you can find out more at www.simplertrading.co.uk.
