SITPRO NEWS Trade Facilitation Now!

The UNeDocs project, which was last reported as being at step 5 (public review) of the UN/CEFACT Open Development Process, has now moved another step closer to becoming a standard by entering the 'Implementation Verification' process (step 6). This stage allows interested parties to try out the technical specifications that have been developed and provide feedback to the editing group, who can then address any problems that might be identified.

SITPRO, through the UNeDocsUK project team, will be feeding back comments from licensees implementing UNeDocsUK and those of our team, to ensure the requirements for UK traders are taken into account.

Meanwhile, the development of UNeDocsUK continues, prioritised by the needs identified by SITPRO stakeholders. If you wish to find out more about this project that brings together paper and electronic documents, providing standard formats such as XML for SITPRO aligned export documentation, or wish to join the group that helps SITPRO to develop the standards further to meet the needs of UK traders, please contact Sue Bravery (sue.bravery@sitpro.org.uk Mail Icon).
