At the Securing the Supply Chain Conference in Amsterdam, SITPRO launched its latest publication The European Customs Environment and the UK Trader (pdf 1.04MB 
). This publication from SITPRO focuses on giving an insight into the developing EU Customs environment, the regulations which underpin it and the initiatives that will implement it.
The large amount of work taking place in Europe on Customs modernisation can often be daunting and seem incomprehensible to traders, but its impact will be felt by everyone. Although the document is written from the perspective of UK, at its launch SITPRO’s Chairman, Norman Rose, explained how these are issues facing traders across Europe and that the UK could be replaced in its title by the name of any other EU country without any other differences.
