Michel Danet
We at SITPRO were saddened to learn of the passing of Michel Danet, the former Secretary General of the World Customs Organisation. He understood the importance of trade facilitation and of the relationship between Customs and business, and was always encouraging to those organisations like SITPRO that gave their opinions from the back of the room. As an original member of the Private Sector Consultative Group, SITPRO, like others in the group, is deeply indebted to him for his role in its creation. Our thoughts are with his family and his friends and colleagues in the WCO Secretariat and customs administrations around the world.
