Annual Review Published
SITPRO has published its 2002/2003 Annual Review, which provides an overview of SITPRO's work over the last year. Areas covered in this year's review include Security Initiatives, Relations with DEFRA, WTO Trade Facilitation Agreement work and Single Window. TPUK Changes Name
From November 2003 Trade Partners UK will amalgamate with InvestUK and change its name to UK Trade & Investment. Its new name is intended to reflect the close relationship of trade and investment work, and its mission to deliver business opportunities through its global network.
Logistics Research Network Conference 2003
SITPRO's Andrew Grainger presented a paper entitled "Supply Chain Management and regulatory controls: a case for trade facilitation" at this years Logistics Research Network conference. The conference, "Enhancing Global Trade through Supply Chain Solutions", was held at the Cass Business School in the City of London on 11 and 12 September.
The LRN is a well regarded international community of leading academics and practitioners sponsored by the Institute of Logistics and Transport. The conference provided an opportunity to introduce the term 'Trade Facilitation' to the wider academic community.
