The eBG aims to act on behalf of the UK in the coordination of international standards, advising on the development of policy for trade facilitation and encouraging the use of internationally agreed standards enabled by e-Business.
Objectives
- To develop SITPRO’s strategy relating to e-Business developments and trade facilitation.
- To promote action and awareness of e-Business developments to facilitate international trade.
- To monitor and assess the impact on the trading community of proposed changes in International, European and National trade law in relation to e-business in the international supply chain.
- Coordinate UK representation to and influence of UN/CEFACT through its subgroups.
- To assist in the development of international standards for e-business transactions, as set out in the scope of the UNeDocsUK project, including practical guidelines through its subgroup DWT (Document Working Taskforce).
- To deliver and foster the implementation of international standards.
