The Strategic Advisory Group on Europe provides advice to SITPRO on EU Trade Facilitation issues. Principally, the focus is on modernisation of the EU Customs Code and eCustoms.
SAGE is industry neutral in approach, and maintains an awareness of the importance of wider external policy drivers (e.g. competitiveness) and is forward looking and strategic in approach.
Recently SAGE has produced a detailed review of the European Commission's policy for a paperless Customs environment, Putting European Competitiveness at the Heart of 21st Century Electronic Trading (pdf 598KB
